My Film and the Mise-en-Scene Within It

 I am well aware that the due date for my portfolio is coming very fast. That being said, it's time to inform you of my director decisions. Some of the finer details within these two minutes will have to do with the location, diegetic sounds, and clothing. When it comes to the location, I plan on using my local college campus for the scenery. I included a picture so you can get a better idea. Apart from grass and outdoors, the campus also has tall buildings and stairways. I plan to take an advantage of this opportunity to include overhead shots and high angles.  Picture of local college campus taken by me. Pitch to Blumhouse Production

  If I had to make a pitch for Blumhouse Productions it would be such an honor. This company founded by Jason Blum has achieved ground breaking films with such a low budget. Some of their well-known movies (shown below in order) are: The Purge, Happy Death Day, and Paranormal Activity.  Which Company Did I Chose and Why: Blumhouse productions has inspired my film with a few of their most successful movies. The majority of this company produces films under the same genre as my opening: thriller and suspense. Blumhouse Productions would be the perfect candidate to distribute my film opening because they already have the necessary foundational experience.
